Founded in 1999 as the first and only company devoted to a comprehensive array of recruitment services for women, Women For Hire offers signature career expos, inspiring speeches and seminars, a popular career-focused magazine and customized marketing programs.
Tory serves on the Alumni Association Board of Directors for Emerson College. Johnson has received numerous awards for her work ranging from Distinguished Alumni Achievement honors from Emerson College to the Annual Leadership Award from The Women’s Center, which has a rich history of recognizing the most successful women in business.
She is a mentor to dozens of women throughout the country, providing one-on-one guidance on both career advancement and entrepreneurship. In addition to her high profile work with people displaced in the Gulf states because of Hurricane Katrina, she is an active volunteer for many community-based organizations focusing on women’s issues and education.
Tory founded Women For Hire after serving in corporate communications positions at ABC News, NBC News and Nickelodeon. While a student at Miami Beach Senior High, she and her partner became the first girls in Florida history to win the coveted state championship in traditional debate, bringing honor to the school and community. She now lives in New York City with her husband and children.
